Mariposa Creek Parkway
The Mariposa Creek Parkway project marries economic development with restoration. The goal of this ongoing project is to restore and expand the Mariposa Creek Parkway as a corridor for arts, tourism, commerce, and recreation. Mariposa County has partnered with Sierra Foothill Conservancy and the Southern Sierra Miwuk Nation to secure both state and federal grants for the project development.
Mammoth Lakes Business Assistance Program
The town of Mammoth Lakes established a Business Assistance Program to help retain local jobs, keep storefronts tenanted and support the local economy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Five rounds of funding resulted in a total program award of ~$900K.
Tuolumne County Broadband Improvement
Tuolumne County will receive $417,000 from the state’s $6 billion Broadband for All funds to lay the groundwork for the installation of broadband infrastructure throughout the county. Faced with challenging terrain, Tuolumne worked with its neighboring counties to develop strategic plans and bring in broadband public investment that will benefit the economic development of the region.
